Voidless Armory
Adding guns to minecraft in the classic 2d style
About this Mod
Disclamer: This mod is still in the beta stage, please join the discord if you encounter any issues that aren't mentioned here
This mod adds a bunch of new guns to the game, all in a 2D art style that fits right in with the base game's look. Weapons are split into tiers, so you’ll start with older, simpler firearms and unlock more modern gear as you progress. It’s built to feel balanced and rewarding, whether you’re just surviving or diving deep into exploration.
One cool feature is the Dummy Gun System—it helps make the weapons work with mobs and other mods like MineColonies, so your NPCs and enemies can use them too. Just a heads-up: the mod’s still in beta, so expect bugs here and there. I’ve got a lot of updates planned, and I’m open to feedback and suggestions—especially for fixing bugs or adding features you’d like to see!
Usage:
Just hit R to reload if you have the appropriate ammo for it. What ammo goes to which gun will be explained further in a futire update but in short:
pistols use pistol ammo (except for tier 1)
mid range infantry uses

FAQ:
Q. What is the tier system?
A. To make it fit with survival playthroughs I locked the later guns behind an uncraftible part called the "Tier 2 Body" and "Tier 3 Body". As of now the tier 2 body is found in chests and the weaponsmith villager's trades and tier 3 need to be implamented still
Q. How to I give my gun to an npc like the Minecolonists?
A. The gun should convert automatically for the npc but if you ever want to switch them back and forth type /dummygun to pull up the gui
Q. What is a dummy gun?
A. The tldr is that minecraft has something I couldn't change to get mobs to hold them so theyre basicaly just reskinned bows. If I'm being honest this is mainly just for role playing because it was impossible to have them use the normal guns
Future Updates
More Guns (obviously)
Animations for the player and guns
Implementing the Tier 3 weapons

Voidless Armory server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Voidless Armory compatible with forge?
Voidless Armory officially supports forge for Minecraft 1.20.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Voidless Armory – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Voidless Armory consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
