Features

  • Drops trader stock:
    When a Wandering Trader dies, they have a configurable chance to drop items from their trade inventory (their “stock”, should work properly with modded entries)

  • Per-item drop chance:
    Each trade offer item rolls its own drop chance, giving dynamic and varied loot

  • Emerald bonuses:
    There's also a chance to drop emeralds to simulate wandering trader "wallet"
    (amount doesn’t change with trades to prevent easy farming)


How to enable?

Use gamerule to enable or disable the mechanic. By default it's true

Option Description
Drop chances Set individual percentage chances for stock items and emeralds
Item blacklist Prevent specific items from ever dropping
Drop amounts Choose min/max quantities, can also do fullstack drops
Scatter power Adjust item scatter intensity, set to 2 for piñata mode
Creative override Allow creative-mode kills to drop everything

How to Install Wandering Spoils on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set forge Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.8).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Wandering Spoils". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
