About this Mod
Wayfinder
What is Wayfinder?
Wayfinder is a simple yet diegetic mod that adds in-world blocks and items for waypoints and location tracking.
Wayfinder is inspired by the Outer Wilds Signalscope.
New Update?
With the 1.21.10 update, you can expect a LOT of changes. Here are all of them:
- Removed Warped lens, and the Compass.
- Added Signal Booster + Signal Expander, upgrades for the range of the signalscope at the cost of accuracy.
- Removed the GUI for the Signal Array, now you have to craft a "Signal Tweaker" and be able to change the data on the go. Right Click on an Array to set the data, and Shift Right Click on it to copy the data to the tweaker.
- Added Frequency in HZ and Gain in MM to the Signalscope. Frequency adds more customisability to the signals, and Gain zooms in, giving you more range but again at the cost of accuracy. Solve this issue with the Signal Booster + Signal Expander, as it gives you a greater default zoom.

Wayfinder server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.10). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Wayfinder compatible with fabric?
Wayfinder officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.10, 1.21.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Wayfinder – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Wayfinder consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
