About this Mod

We Like That Ores Logo

Why does this mod exist? Aren't there already thousands of ore mods out there? Yes, they exist. But most end up adding elements that unbalance the game and ruin the vanilla Minecraft experience, or have a completely different look than vanilla.

We Like Those Ores is another "expansion", as it aims to enrich the vanilla experience without exaggeration. Each ore or resource is designed to be balanced while staying true to the style of the original game.

Vanilla Minecraft only has a few minerals, and mining is one of the things we do most in the game, this mod fixes that, you mine and then make blocks, armor and tools similar to what you already have in the game.

This mod is also specific to the Forge 1.20.1 version, and another reason is because I like creating mods and I will dedicate myself to bringing something good to the community, just like so many other mods out there.

I recommend using this mod with other very well made mods that modify the terrain and or add ores such as Terralith, Biomes o Plenty, Quark, SimpleOres.

wulfenite-block ATTENTION! Make sure to always download the latest version of the mod to avoid bugs as much as possible.

This is the beginning of the mod, more ores will be added soon!

Lushite Update 0.6

New version 0.6 of We Like Those Ores, brings a new ore "Lushite", new items, decorative blocks, a new armor and of course, bugs fixed.

Lushite is a rare ore that can only be found in lush cave biomes, this ore is a type of powder that can be combined with niobium to form an alloy called lushiobium, used to upgrade niobium armor and make decorative blocks. image

I'll be honest, I wanted to make the upgrade work like the diamond to netherite upgrade in the game, where you can only find the upgrade form in a certain location, in this case it would be in abandoned mines, but after more than 1 hour trying to make it work in MCreator it didn't work. lushite upgrade

I got it due to bugs, but at least I did something very similar. Mix niobium ingots and lushite powder on the workbench and make the item to upgrade your niobium armor to lushiobium, place the upgrade on a smithing table along with the armor piece and another lushite powder and that's it, you now have a armor similar to netherite. lushite dust

niobium

Niobium is an ore that has better enchantment and efficiency than diamond and netherite, but has lower damage and durability.

niobium recipes

Niobium is rare and can be found in basically the same layers as diamond, and its distribution is also similar to that of diamond. Its whitish-gray appearance is very similar to iron. To find it, look between -60 and 20.

ignisium

Ignisium is a mineral present in the Nether that stands out for its durability, however it does not have much efficiency, damage and enchantability.

ignisium recipes

It's not that difficult to find. Its black-orange appearance is very reminiscent of a volcano. Find between layers 0 and 64.

wulfenite

Wulfenite is an orange crystal that is prized for its beauty.

wulfenite recipes

Its characteristics are similar to those of iron and gold, it is more efficient and has less durability. You can find it between layers 6 and 47.

cobaltite

This is an ore similar to iron but has a bluish color, great for decoration and you can also use it as tools and armor. You'll only find it if you go really deep, between -64 and -12.
