About this Mod
Own
A mod for Minecraft 1.20.1 that adds a weapon leveling system. Swords gain experience by killing mobs, and axes gain experience by chopping trees. Leveling up unlocks unique upgrades: lifesteal, critical hits, seismic impact, whirlwind, and much more. Upgrade your weapons to level 30.
⚔ Two Progression Paths
Warrior — for mod swords. Kill mobs to gain XP (+10 per kill, more with upgrades). Reach level 30 to become Invincible.
Lumberjack — for mod axes. Chop logs to gain XP (+1 per log, more with upgrades). Reach level 30 to become the Grove Keeper.
Both paths have 30 levels and 6 named milestones (every 5 levels). At each milestone a custom upgrade-selection screen opens — pick one of three random upgrades from the pool.
#⚡ Abilities
Abilities unlock at level 20 when you pick the relevant upgrade at a milestone. Activate your weapon's ability with the dedicated keybind (default: unbound, set it in Controls → Weapon Upgrade).
All abilities come with particle effects and on-screen cooldown feedback.

How to Install Weapon UP! on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Weapon UP!". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Weapon UP! server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Weapon UP! compatible with fabric?

Server lagging with Weapon UP! – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Weapon UP! consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
