Weapons of the Wild
Adds fantasy/biome-themed weapons! :D
About this Mod

Weapons of the wilds aims to add a bunch of new and unique weapons types, each one having its own mechanic/gimmick.
Design Philosophy
Weapons of the Wilds doesn't add new unique weapons like the mace or trident, but rather, weapon types which do not aim to replace the vanilla ones (swords, axes, spears), but rather add more options to choose from. This means that each weapon added will have all the tiers from wood to netherite. This mod also tries to make the weapons biome-themed so that there's genuinely new unique options for the player progression (aside from new blocks :p).
Also fantasy theme cuz there's already so many awesome history themed weapons mod.
The weapons
Currently there's only 1 weapon type
MossThorn
The Mossthorn are polearms with a living organism attached to them. When you hit an entity with any Mossthorn one of two things will happen:
- if the entity is NOT on top of the allowed blocks, but is on top of a moss replaceable block, the Mossthorn will try to use one bonemeal from the player's inventory and spread moss at that entity's feet. (try it on water!)(Also pls don't loose all your bonemeal!)
- If the entity IS on top of the allowed blocks, the Mossthorn will generate an "Entangling roots" block that slows down entities slightly worse than cobwebs (does not affect Mossthorn wielding entities).
The allowed blocks where entangling roots will generate are the following:

(Moss, Azalea, Flowering Azalea, Rooted Dirt, Podzol, Mycelium, Muddy Mangrove Roots and Mangrove Roots)
Entangling Roots:
Once generated by a Mossthorn, the entangling roots block can be harvested using shears. When placing entangling roots obtained this way the block will change up to 5 variants depending on the block below:

(Stripped, Mossy, Mycelium, Crimson and Warped)
Entangling roots blocks can also be harvested using silk touch, this will give the specific variant item and will allow the player to place said variant on any block!
Crafting
To craft a Mossthorn weapon, you need to obtain Living Moss:

(do not perpetuate the cycle of existence!)
After doing so, you can craft your Mossthorn:

Gold:

Diamond:

Netherite:

Netherthorn
There's an upgrade available to gold, diamond and netherite mossthorn, these are the crimsonthorn and warpedthorn. They are obtained by adding either warped or crimson nylium to the weapon in a smithing table (no template needed)
Both variants act the same (difference is only visual) and add the following blocks to the list of allowed surfaces to generate roots:

All Netherthorn recipes:
Gold:

Diamond:

Netherite:

Both Crimsonthorn and Warpedthorn can be turned into the other variant:

There's a bug were you can turn the same variant into itself but won't do anything and it'll just consume a nylium :B
