About this Mod

Explore the world, find hidden totems in ancient wells, and gain permanent water-healing abilities!
Weathered Wells adds five unique well structures scattered across your world. Each well hides an underground chamber with a chest containing a collectible totem. Gather all three totems to unlock powerful, permanent water-healing buffs.

🏗️ 5 Well Structures
- Forgotten Well — A weathered wooden structure found near water
- Mossy Well — An overgrown well with a deep underground chamber
- Dry Well — A large, deteriorated stone structure with vegetation
- Clear Well — A pristine white structure with clean architecture
- Sunken Well — Partially submerged underwater
- Wells generate naturally throughout the world with 300+ blocks spacing
- Each well has an above-ground section connected to an underground chamber
🔮 3 Collectible Totems
Each well chest contains one random totem:
- Soaked Totem — A waterlogged artifact
- Clear Totem — A crystal-clear relic
- Deep Totem — An artifact from the depths

- Water Seeps In — Obtain a Soaked Totem
- Clarity Settles — Obtain a Clear Totem
- Depths Endured — Obtain a Deep Totem
- At Home in Water — Collect all three totems
- Wells Explored — Visit all five well structures
💧 Permanent Water-Healing Buffs
Each advancement grants "Blessing of the Waterways" buffs:
Lingering (Levels I–III):
- Heals when standing in water after an activation delay
- Higher levels reduce healing interval (3s → 2.5s → 2s)
- Heals 0.5 hearts per interval
- Automatically levels up as you collect different totems
Attunement:
- Granted upon collecting all three totems
- Reduces activation delay from 5 seconds to 2 seconds
- Stacks with Lingering for faster, more responsive healing
Immersion:
- Granted upon discovering all five well types
- Water breathing, faster underwater movement and mining
All buffs are permanent and persist through death.
📖 How to Play
- Explore the World: Search for weathered wells throughout the landscape
- Find the Wells: Look for five unique well structures in various biomes
- Descend Underground: Each well connects to a hidden underground chamber
- Collect the Totems: Open the chest to obtain a random totem
- Earn Advancements: Each new totem type triggers an advancement and grants a buff
- Collect All Three: Gathering all three totems unlocks the Attunement buff
- Heal in Water: Stand in water to activate your permanent healing abilities!

Available Versions
How to Install Weathered Wells on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.11).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Weathered Wells". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Weathered Wells server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.11). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Weathered Wells compatible with fabric and forge and neoforge?
Weathered Wells officially supports fabric, forge, neoforge for Minecraft 1.21.11, 1.21.10, 1.21.9. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Weathered Wells – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Weathered Wells consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
