Play Wordle Inside Minecraft!
Bring the addictive daily word puzzle straight into your Minecraft world! Guess the hidden word, track your progress, and challenge yourself — all in-game. Perfect for solo fun or server-wide competitions.
Main Features
Interactive Wordle UI

Play Wordle directly in Minecraft. Enter guesses, see letter feedback, and solve the puzzle day by day.
Wordle Item

Shapeless crafting: paper + glowstone dust + any dye. Easy to craft, ready to play immediately.
Admin Command

/newwordle allows server admins to set or reset the daily word, perfect for events or custom challenges.

- Requires Minecraft Forge 1.20.1.
- Each player has independent daily word progress.
- Great for solo gameplay or server challenges.
- As a personal project I have no intention of porting / consistently updating unless I see genuine interest in the mod.

How to Install Wordle, but not quite! on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set forge Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.6).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Wordle, but not quite!". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.6). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Wordle, but not quite! compatible with forge?
Wordle, but not quite! officially supports forge for Minecraft 1.20.6, 1.20.5, 1.20.4. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Wordle, but not quite! – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Wordle, but not quite! consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
