About this Mod
Horses are rarely used in Minecraft.
This mod attempts to make them more viable, by allowing players to give them more speed, more jump strength, more viability when moving by enchanting their horse armor and the newly introduced horseshoes items and more survivability using other enchants like protection.
Features:
Horseshoes:
- All horse types (Horse, Donkey, Mule, Llama, Skeleton and Zombie Horse) now have a new inventory slot for horseshoes.
- Horseshoes can be enchanted with any boot enchant, not all modded ones will work though
- Horseshoes render on the Horse model, with enchanted glint if enchanted
- Horseshoes add variable stat modifiers for speed and jump strength of the horse
- Added a custom enchantment specifically for horseshoes: Trampling. Works like knockback when galloping over enemies. Also damages them a bit.
- Horseshoes can by default be acquired as a trade from leatherworkers or on uncommon encounters of already-shoed horses in some villages.
Horse Armor:
- Horse armor is now enchantable (helmet + chestplate enchants). Not all modded enchants will work.
- Horse armor now renders with enchanted glint if enchanted
- Horse armor will now display the hardcoded armor stat it provides to the horse in the item tooltip
- Horse armor stats (armor/toughness) can now be config-modified
- All horse types can wear armor, so Horses, Donkeys, Mules, Zombie Horses and Skeleton Horses
More Features:
- Simple Horse stat display in the GUI
- Compat with BountifulBaubles Lucky Horseshoe
- Undead horses burn in the sun (default disabled).
- Zombies can spawn riding on Zombie Horses, Baby Zombies on Baby Zombie Horses
- Lightning Storm Skeleton Trap Horses can wear armor and/or horse shoes
- Fixed Horses never stopping to rear if dismounted while rearing
Fully customisable via config
Compatible with custom horse armor added by BBLSOhMy
Planned features:
- Working Elytra on horses
- Enchantable saddle and saddle-specific enchants
