WynnConfigSync
Automatically renames a shared Wynntils config file to your own UUID on launch.
About this Mod
WynnConfig Sync
Automatically renames a shared Wynntils config file to your own UUID on launch, no manual renaming needed.
What does it do?
Wynntils names its config files after your UUID. When you share your config with a friend, the file has your UUID in the name, meaning Wynntils won't recognize it on their end. Instead of asking them to find their own UUID and rename the file manually, they just install this mod and it handles everything automatically. This is especially useful in modpacks for creating config presets.
How to use
- Share your Wynntils config file with your friend
- They drop it into their wynntils/config/ folder
- They open config/wynnconfig-sync.json and paste the UUID of the sender into the source_uuid field
- They launch the game, the mod renames the file to the users UUID automatically
Launcher compatibility
Works with any launcher including Prism, MultiMC, ATLauncher and vanilla. The mod only needs to run once, after the rename it skips silently on every subsequent launch.
Notes
This mod is free to use and may be included in any modpack without permission.
This was a one-time project, regular updates should not be expected. It does what it needs to do and that's it!
