FICSALOT
Initial release of a set of machines to help control your power grid.
Description
Turing Complete power mod! :D
This mod includes the following machines.
This description and the mod will be updated regularly, so READ THIS AGAIN LATER!!
Currently, there are five machines in this mod with more to come.
This mod is ALPHA, some things may act strange. some things may need to be tweaked to make them intuitive... i know, and any feedback you have is welcome, feel free to ping me on the modding discord. LordDecapo#0001
This all unlocks at Tier One currently.. things will be balanced with gameplay later <3
Power Pole Switch - SPDT
> This power pole has a primary connection on the pole itself and two other connections on the hanging cylinders. When you walk up to the pole and hit [E] then the pole will toggle between which of the two cylinder connections are connected to the primary pole. This acts as a normal switch but also gives you an extra input or output to use. This connection allows power to flow freely in both directions.
Power Diode
> This machine allows production to flow one direction and consumption to flow in the other. This allows you to isolate sections of power for logic control or other things.
Transistor
> This machine allows you to define a comparison function based on the middle Sense pin. You can set the first drop down to Capacity, Availble, or Consumption. These values are the current stats of the Sense pins power connection. The button to the right of that stat selection dropdown is a GreaterThanOrEqual OR LessThan check, click this button to toggle. The Transistor also has a slider linked to the value. This is the value that is compared aggainst the sensed power stat. When the comparison function is true, the two power connections on the side of it are connected together. This connection allows power to flow freely in both directions.
Power Sink
> This machine allows you to test power grids, create fused sub power grids, and more. The value set in the power sink will be the capacity given to the top power connection. This power capacity is limited to what the input can power. When the Power Sink is set to SOFT the consumption that is passed to the input power connection [the larger rear pin] is only what the output pin draws. When the Power Sinkk is set to HARD, the consumption that is passed to the input connection is equal to the value set in the UI.
Load Limit Aggregator
> This machine allows for power production prioritization. You can set two seperate values in the UI, a GLOBAL and a LOCAL value. The machine also has two power inputs and one power output. The capacity of the output is whatever the GLOBAL is set to... as long as the inputs can support it. This machine will draw power from the larger of the two input pins upto the LOCAL value, all power draw after that limit is then grabbed from the secondary input, upto the GLOBAL setpoint.
Item Rate Switch
> This machine monitors the rate of items going through it. You can set two values and a Comparison option. If the items per minute comparison returns True then power is connected between the two power connections. The sample rate allowws you to adjust the ganularity of the update. This can be useful for smoothing out factories that output in larger pulses [eg lots of wire in a quick burst then a few seconds of idle time].
> NOTE: the way I calculate item rates leads to some fluctuation, so you may want to set the trigger a bit lower than you want it for a >= check or a bit higher for a < check.
Item Rate Limiter
> This machine does the same power comparison as the Transistor, however; this one will only allow items through it at a set rate when the power compression returns True.
Oscillator
> This machine has two power Inputs [I and II], a power sense pin, and an power output. It does the same power comparison as the Transistor, however; when the power comparison returns true the machine oscillates between Input I and Input II to pass to the power output. The user sets a Clock Period and a Duty Cycle. The clock period is how long the system takes to go back to Input I after it starts an oscilation. The Duty cycle is the time the machine spends on Input I before going to Input II. Example, a Clock Period of 4 and a Duty Cycle of 25%, The resulting output would spend 1 second with Input I connected to the Output followed by 3 seconds with Input II connected to the output, before returning back to Input I. This machine can be thought of similar to an IRL 555 timer.
.... i may have had this go from II to I, instead of I to II,, if so, please ping me on the modding discord xD ill fix and update... too sleepy atm
NOTE: Nearly all interfaces have a SET MAX button. This button is a quick and easy way to set the value to whatever the current stat your network has. Example; If you place a Power Sink and want to test your power grid at 100% load, you can hit SET MAX, and then make sure the Power Sink is set to HARD. The Power Sink will now draw 100% the max load from the input power grid.

How to Install FICSALOT on Your Server
Order Satisfactory Server
Order a Satisfactory server with at least 4 GB RAM (6 GB recommended). For multiplayer: per 3 players.
Install Mod
Open the mod manager in the dashboard and search for "FICSALOT". Installation dependencies are installed automatically.
Restart Server
Restart the server so the mod is loaded. Players need to have the mod installed locally as well.
Frequently Asked Questions
FICSALOT not working after update – what to do?
After a Satisfactory update, mods need to be updated. Check ficsit.app whether FICSALOT has been updated for the new game version. With Mado Hosting: open the mod manager and click "Update All". If the mod hasn't been updated yet, temporarily remove it so the server starts.
FICSALOT causing crashes in multiplayer – solution
Most common cause: all players must have exactly the same mod version installed. Check server logs for "ModMismatch" or "Version Conflict". Ensure all players use FICSALOT v0.0.31 and the same SML. With Mado Hosting, Satisfactory servers run with 6 GB RAM for stable multiplayer performance.
Is FICSALOT compatible with other Satisfactory mods?
FICSALOT uses the Satisfactory Mod Loader (SML). Generally, SML-based mods are cross-compatible, but mods modifying the same game systems can cause conflicts. Test new mod combinations on a backup save. The Mado dashboard automatically detects known conflicts and warns you.
Rent FICSALOT Server
