GravityCheck
Adds structural integrity to buildings. Unsupported foundations collapse after 3 seconds, taking everything on top with them.
Description
GravityCheck — Structural Integrity for Satisfactory
GravityCheck adds realistic structural integrity to your factory. Buildings need proper support or they'll come crashing down!
How It Works
- Foundations have a maximum overhang of 4 tiles from a grounded support point- Walls and pillars act as load-bearing structures — building a pillar under your platform resets the overhang counter
- Unsupported foundations glow yellow (at the limit) or red (unsafe) as a warning
- After 3 seconds without support, unsafe foundations are auto-demolished with physics
- Everything on top (machines, conveyors, etc.) collapses with the foundation — falling with full gravity simulation
Features
- 🔴 Visual glow warnings (yellow = at limit, red = unsafe)- 🧱 Walls & pillars provide structural support
- ⏱️ 3-second repair window to fix unsafe structures
- 💥 Physics-based destruction — buildings fall realistically
- 🔗 Cascade demolition — machines on collapsed foundations fall too
- ⌨️ Press G to toggle highlight overlay on/off
Tips
- Use pillars to extend your factory over gaps and cliffs- Place walls under elevated platforms for support
- Watch for yellow glow — it means you're at the edge of stability
- You have 3 seconds to add support before an unsafe structure collapses
Technical
- Uses BFS-based distance calculation from grounded supports- Load-bearing elements (walls/pillars) reset distance within 500cm vertical and horizontal range
- Polling-based structural change detection (1s interval)
- Compatible with the lightweight buildable system
How to Install GravityCheck on Your Server
Order Satisfactory Server
Order a Satisfactory server with at least 4 GB RAM (6 GB recommended). For multiplayer: per 4 players.
Install Mod
Open the mod manager in the dashboard and search for "GravityCheck". Installation dependencies are installed automatically.
Restart Server
Restart the server so the mod is loaded. Players need to have the mod installed locally as well.
Frequently Asked Questions
GravityCheck not working after update – what to do?
After a Satisfactory update, mods need to be updated. Check ficsit.app whether GravityCheck has been updated for the new game version. With Mado Hosting: open the mod manager and click "Update All". If the mod hasn't been updated yet, temporarily remove it so the server starts.
GravityCheck causing crashes in multiplayer – solution
Most common cause: all players must have exactly the same mod version installed. Check server logs for "ModMismatch" or "Version Conflict". Ensure all players use GravityCheck v1.0.0 and the same SML. With Mado Hosting, Satisfactory servers run with 6 GB RAM for stable multiplayer performance.
Is GravityCheck compatible with other Satisfactory mods?
GravityCheck uses the Satisfactory Mod Loader (SML). Generally, SML-based mods are cross-compatible, but mods modifying the same game systems can cause conflicts. Test new mod combinations on a backup save. The Mado dashboard automatically detects known conflicts and warns you.
