Hostile Scaling
Creatures grow stronger as you progress: health, damage, and spawn rates scale with your milestone tier.
Description
Hostile Scaling
Make hostile creatures a contender. As you climb the milestone tiers, hostile creatures grow tougher, hit harder, and respawn faster β so the planet stays dangerous even after you've industrialized half of it.
What it does
- Health scaling β hostile creatures get real scaled max health (health-display mods show the true numbers)
- Damage scaling β creature attacks hit harder (melee, projectile, and explosion damage all covered)
- Spawn scaling β faster respawns and denser packs
- Tier progression β every multiplier is `Base + PerTier Γ your highest unlocked milestone tier`, with a configurable cap
Lizard doggos, tamed creatures, and passive fauna are never affected.
Configuration
Everything is adjustable from the mod's panel in the Mods menu (main menu or pause menu) and applies to a running game within ~10 seconds β no restart needed:
| Setting | Default |
|---|---|
| Health / Damage base multiplier | 1.0 (vanilla at tier 0) |
| Health / Damage added per tier | +15% per tier |
| Spawn rate added per tier | +10% per tier |
| Maximum multiplier caps | 5Γ health/damage, 4Γ spawns |
| Scale damage to buildings | off |
| Increase spawn counts | on |
With defaults, by tier 9 hostiles have ~2.35Γ health and damage and ~1.9Γ spawn rate. Crank the per-tier values and caps for a true nightmare planet.
Notes
- Works in multiplayer (host/server needs the mod)
- Scaling never compounds across save/load β always computed from vanilla values
- Stacks with other creature mods (MoreEnemySpawns, BloodMoon); their effects multiply together, so start gentle if you run several

Frequently Asked Questions
Hostile Scaling not working after update β what to do?
After a Satisfactory update, mods need to be updated. Check ficsit.app whether Hostile Scaling has been updated for the new game version. With Mado Hosting: open the mod manager and click "Update All". If the mod hasn't been updated yet, temporarily remove it so the server starts.
Hostile Scaling causing crashes in multiplayer β solution
Most common cause: all players must have exactly the same mod version installed. Check server logs for "ModMismatch" or "Version Conflict". Ensure all players use Hostile Scaling v1.0.3 and the same SML. With Mado Hosting, Satisfactory servers run with 6 GB RAM for stable multiplayer performance.
Is Hostile Scaling compatible with other Satisfactory mods?
Hostile Scaling uses the Satisfactory Mod Loader (SML). Generally, SML-based mods are cross-compatible, but mods modifying the same game systems can cause conflicts. Test new mod combinations on a backup save. The Mado dashboard automatically detects known conflicts and warns you.
