This mod is intended to be paired with [Nuclear Rebalance Patch](https://ficsit.app/mod/NuclearRebalancePatch)
They are separated just in case you would rather have one and not the other.[](https://ficsit.app/mod/NuclearRebalancePatch)

What are the point of these mods?
The goal is to make the jump from Fuel to Nuclear be as important, impactful, and needed as the jump from Coal to Fuel. Currently, the newly added Rocket Fuel steps on the toes of Nuclear so much, that the only reason you'd really want to make Nuclear power is simply for the fact of doing it, not for efficiency.
- The production line of Rocket Fuel, especially with Nitro Rocket Fuel, is so simple and so efficient, that you can easily set up a factory that generates 57.6 Nuclear Power Plants worth of power with only 3 steps (see below). And Blueprints make placing down hundreds of Generators a breeze, especially considering Rocket Fuel is a gas and you don't have to worry about head lift. The only limiting factor is Sulfur, which becomes much less of a problem once you get Mk6 Belts (and Converters). In short, its too easy to make as much as it makes.
- Uranium is much more scarce compared to Oil, harder to reach, radioactive, has waste, uses far more parts requiring far more logistics, and with the inclusion of Rocket/Ionized Fuel, yields a lower net MW potential (adding up all available nodes). This is not the way it should be.
- Ficsonium is bad. With the exception of wanting to make it just because you can, it is always more worth your time to just sink the Plutonium instead. There are numerous in-depth reasons for this I wont go into it now, but you can read about them in the Nuclear Rebalance Patch mod linked above.

Alternate: Nitro Rocket Fuel: Reduced output by 33.333%, from 150/min to 100/min (Compacted Coal unchanged)

- Thoughts: Just putting down 10 blenders to the end of a pre-existing 600m3 turbo fuel line is the equivalent of adding 5.6 nuclear power plants. The full production line for this is stupid simple compared to Nuclear, and so already threatens to make it obsolete. The goal of this change is to make an equivalent amount of Rocket Fuel require more Oil, without effecting Fuel and Turbo Fuel.
If you think the Compacted Coal production value needs to be changed, let me know. It will require drastically changing the production cycle time, and I wanted to avoid that.
Nitro Rocket Fuel is even more problematic, so it got a tiny bit more of a nerf. Creating a new production line of Rocket Fuel using the Nitro Rocket Fuel alt recipe just from a single pure node of oil yields 144GW, or 57.6 Nuclear Power Plants. But more importantly, its extremely simple to make this:

Ionized Fuel
- Thoughts: The above changes also nerf Ionized Fuel equally since it requires Rocket Fuel to make. It doesn't need this nerf as much, since its much harder to make, so I'm going to increase the values a little bit to compensate. The Alternate Recipe in particular is actually kind of bad, so it gets even more of an increase.Ionized Fuel Recipe: Increased output by 31.5789%, from 40/min to 55/min

Dark-Ion Fuel: Decrease Packaged Rocket Fuel Input by 8.69565% from 240/min to 220/min, and increase output by 33.33% from 200/min to 300/min.

Closing thoughts:
Remember, these changes to Rocket Fuel are just one-half of a larger picture. Nuclear also needs a buff if it wants to be the leap forward in power that its effort/downsides to set up demand.I am looking forward to in-depth discussions on the Discord server and constructive criticism for this mod. Don't be afraid to @ me (@Raikoh) if you have some well thought-out numbers to present! But remember, it's not all about numbers. The feel of it is also important. If something is less "efficient" but waaay easier to execute repeatedly with little restriction, then it's a problem. And if you have any other ideas for buffs or nerfs to anything else, let me know!
