Th3's Part/Recipe Compressor
Compresses items, fluids and recipes by a factor of x10 to ease logistics
Description
Th3Fanbus' Item/Recipe Compressor
Compresses most modded items/fluids/recipes by a factor of 10 to ease logistics. So, why does this mod have the "belts" and "pipes" tags? Because it effectively allows belts and pipes to transport 10 times as many parts (items and fluids) per minute by using compressed parts.
Parts can be (de)compressed in the Packager. Icons for compressed parts look the same as the original counterparts, but have an overlay indicating that they're compressed, so that one can easily tell that they're not the same thing. In-world meshes are the same for now (procedurally modifying the icons at runtime wasn't an easy task, procedurally modifying meshes is even more complicated).
Compressed recipes are made in the same machine as the original recipes, but use compressed items instead. Compressed recipes are slower so that the effective throughput (number of uncompressed parts consumed/produced per minute) is the same.
This mod Should™ work with any other mod, but if it doesn't please report on the Satisfactory Modding Discord.
Known Issues
- (x10) Water is not usable in (at least vanilla) power generators because they only support specifying one "supplemental resource".- With HFO and HSO, some attributes of items/fluids (e.g. energy values) are incorrect, which prevents them from being used directly in generators. However, item/fluid ratios should still be correct.
TODO
- Make specialized compressing machines. Especially for items, a multi-input and multi-output machine would be nice. Requires making models (and I want to do them myself).- Try to add something to conveyor meshes (extremely complicated, may not be feasible).
Thanks

- To xXdrewbaccaXx for making the x10 overlay look pretty
