Archived! An outdated 1.21.10 Fabric modpack for Skyblock players used to the 1.8.9 Forge experience

Archived!
I am no longer working on this pack and will no longer be updating it. I still think it's a solid base to get started from, but has several known issues that haven't and will never get addressed.
If you would like something similar, check out OneClient!
To unlink the modpack, go to the instance settings page, then "Installation", then click "Unlink instance". You are now able to modify all content freely without being tied to the modpack. See https://alternatives.microcontrollers.dev/latest/migrating/ for an updated list of mods I recommend.
Micro's Latest Modpack
Please read the Important Notes section at the bottom!
A modpack for people used to the 1.8.9 Forge experience.
Many of the mods here are meant to be direct replacements for mods found in SkyClient (a 1.8.9 mod installer tailored for Hypixel Skyblock), with additional, newer mods as well, while also phasing out the outdated mods.
This modpack also includes some mods to improve the experience on other servers, especially MCC Island, as well as performance mods for singleplayer. This modpack is not Skyblock specific, but mostly focuses on it.
It's recommended to take what you want from this modpack, and shape it how you desire. This modpack has a lot of mods, many of which many may not be useful to some. Use this modpack as a starting ground (see below for how to unlink the modpack to the instance). However, if you would like to stick to the modpack, I will be regularly keeping it up to date as well.
This modpack is not heavily preconfigured. Most mod configs are on default settings and you will need to manually edit configs yourself. Everyone has their own idea on what a good config is, so you should make your own.
How to Install & Update
- Install the Modrinth App from https://modrinth.com/app
- Log in and complete set up
- Press "Discover content" at the top left menu
- In the "Search modpacks" search bar, search for Micro's Skyblock Modpack
- Press Install
- The modpack will now be on the left side quick access or in the "Library" tab
- To update the modpack, open the modpack in Modrinth launcher (without running it) and press the Update button (You may need to click "Refresh first). Choose the latest version. Your configs will not be reset.
- Sometimes, Modrinth won't immediately show the latest modpack update. To force it to show updates, go to the bottom left settings tab, then "Resource management", then "Purge cache".
Important Notes
Please increase the amount of memory! You can do this by clicking on the instance, clicking the settings button at the top right, going to "Java and memory", turning on "Custom memory allocation", and setting it to 4096 (4GB) or higher.
Add these custom java arguments:
-XX:+UnlockExperimentalVMOptions -XX:+UseZGC -XX:+ZGenerational -Xss4M. The Xss arg is the most important as it is required for some resource packs to not crash your game. The first launch may take a while. It should be much faster from then on.
If you want to use my modpack as a base and branch off into your own pack, you will need to unlink the instance to the modpack in order to update mods yourself. To do this, go to the instance settings page, then "Installation", then click "Unlink instance". Note that you cannot undo this action.
Iris can cause issues with the rendering of some mods. This can easily be seen in any mod that renders block overlays (i.e., Simple Block Overlay, SkyHanni, etc.). If you don't care about shaders or can live without Iris's entity rendering improvements, disable Iris and these features should work again.
Skytils is not supported! I have seen many bug reports about crashes when using Skytils, your mileage may vary when using it. Please do not report any crashes or bugs due to Skytils. Please refer to the work in progress Skytils alternatives page for alternative, supported mods.
This modpack will always aim to support the latest version being developed on. There will be no backports.
Prism Launcher can also download Modrinth modpacks just fine (that's the point of Prism), if you want to use that instead.

Micro's Skyblock Modpack Server laggt – Performance-Tipps
