BactroMod

BactroMod is a client-side Fabric mod for visual clarity and quality-of-life tweaks. It injects all behavior changes through Mixins, which means there is no server-side component.
It works out of the box on any compatible Fabric installation.

🌟 Fullbright	Scales in-game brightness via a configurable multiplier.
👁️ Night vision cleanup	Suppresses the night vision effect.
🎃 Pumpkin blur toggle	Disables the carved-pumpkin overlay.
🔥 Low fire	Configurable first-person fire overlay offset.
🛡️ Low shield	Configurable first-person shield render offset.
🗺️ Boat map visibility	Keep filled maps visible while moving in boats.
🌫️ Fog controls	Toggle lava, powder snow, blindness, darkness, water, and atmospheric fog.
📐 Item scaling	Scale individual items (totems, potions, food, etc.) in first-person view via a dedicated sub-screen.
🌊 Riptide + shield fix	Corrects shield rendering position during riptide-trident use.
🎮 No-OP gamemode switcher	Enables the debug gamemode-switch screen without OP-level checks.

⚙️ Configuration

BactroMod settings can be changed in-game.

Method	Description
ModMenu (preferred)	Config entry inside ModMenu (if installed).
Credits screen (fallback)	"BactroMod Settings" button in Credits screen.
Config file	`<gameDir>/config/bactromod.json` - JSON, editable by hand.

📦 Installation

Install Fabric Loader for the supported Minecraft version.
Place the BactroMod .jar into your Minecraft mods/ folder.
Ensure Fabric API is installed.
Launch Minecraft with the Fabric profile.

Mod installieren

Lege die .jar-Datei in deinem lokalen .minecraft/mods-Ordner ab und starte Minecraft neu. Eine Installation auf dem Server ist nicht nötig.

Muss BactroMod auf dem Minecraft Server installiert werden?

Nein. Modrinth kennzeichnet BactroMod serverseitig als nicht unterstützt. Installiere die Mod nur im lokalen Minecraft-Mods-Ordner. Dein Server kann unverändert bleiben, sofern die Mod-Seite keine zusätzliche Abhängigkeit nennt.

Welche Version und welchen Loader braucht BactroMod?

Nutze eine Datei für fabric, quilt und exakt deine Minecraft-Version. Unterstützte Versionen sind unter anderem 26.2, 26.1.2, 26.1.1. Loader-Dateien sind nicht untereinander austauschbar.

BactroMod funktioniert nicht – was kann ich prüfen?

Prüfe zuerst Minecraft-Version, Loader-Version und erforderliche Abhängigkeiten. Lege die .jar-Datei im lokalen .minecraft/mods-Ordner ab und entferne ältere Duplikate. Da die Mod clientseitig ist, löst mehr Server-RAM dieses Problem nicht.
