Install a Modpack on Your Minecraft Server

Modpacks are pre-built collections of mods that have been tested and configured together. At Mado Hosting, you can install many modpacks with one click.

1-Click Installation via the Panel

  • Open the Panel and navigate to your server.

  • Go to "Modpacks" in the sidebar.

  • Browse available modpacks from CurseForge or Modrinth.

  • Select the desired modpack and click "Install".

  • The Panel will automatically download and set up the modpack.

  • The server will restart with the installed modpack.

    • RAM Recommendation for Modpacks

    Modpacks typically require more RAM than a Vanilla server:

  • •Small modpacks (up to 50 mods): at least 4 GB RAM

  • •Medium modpacks (50-150 mods): at least 6-8 GB RAM

  • •Large modpacks (150+ mods, e.g. All the Mods): at least 8-12 GB RAM

    • You can upgrade your server's RAM at any time in the dashboard.

    During Order

    You can also select a modpack directly when ordering. Go to the Gameserver page, choose "Forge" as server type, and search for your modpack. The server will be set up with the modpack right away.

    Client Side

    Your players need the same modpack installed on their PCs. The easiest way is through the CurseForge launcher or the Modrinth launcher.
