About this Mod
AA4 Atlas is an addon for the Antique Atlas 4 mod which adds a physical atlas item. Much like in the mod it's based on, the atlas is crafted with a book and a compass. Once in the player's inventory, it can be opened with the usual Antique Atlas hotkey or by right clicking while holding the item. When held, the map will also be visible.
Sharing and exploration progress is still handled by Surveyor and will continue even if the item is not present. For instructions on how to share exploration progress, check its mod page.
The atlas sprite is derived in good faith from the original Antique Atlas
and was drawn by Hunternif.

How to Install AA4 Atlas on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "AA4 Atlas". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

AA4 Atlas server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is AA4 Atlas compatible with fabric and forge and neoforge and quilt?
AA4 Atlas officially supports fabric, forge, neoforge, quilt for Minecraft 1.21.1, 1.20.1. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with AA4 Atlas – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if AA4 Atlas consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
