About this Mod

The moment you create a new world... everything changes.
Cosmic Horror is a psychological horror mod inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft. Instead of filling your world with constant monsters, it slowly twists the Minecraft you already know into something that feels wrong.
From the very first second you spawn, the world is no longer the same.
What to expect
- 10+ unique events that can happen naturally while you play.
- Rare encounters that become more disturbing the longer you survive.
- Creatures that silently observe you from places they shouldn't exist.
- Reality glitches, time distortions, strange moon events, and impossible occurrences.
- Darkness that becomes more than just the absence of light.
- Hidden mechanics that react to your actions and surroundings.
- Unpredictable jumpscares used sparingly to keep you constantly on edge.
- Secrets, hidden lore, and mysteries waiting to be discovered.
- No scripted story.
- No fixed progression.
- Every world creates its own horror experience.
You never know when something will happen...
only that it eventually will.
As the days pass, the world becomes increasingly unnatural, and if you're curious enough to uncover every secret, you may discover the truth behind humanity's disappearance—and why it feels like something has been watching you since the moment you spawned.
You're not alone.
You never were.

Does Cosmic Horror need to be installed on the Minecraft server?
No. Modrinth marks Cosmic Horror as unsupported on the server side. Install it only in your local Minecraft mods folder. Your server can remain unchanged unless the mod page lists an additional dependency.
Which version and loader does Cosmic Horror require?
Use a file for fabric, forge and your exact Minecraft version. Supported versions include 1.20.1. Files for different loaders are not interchangeable.
Cosmic Horror is not working – what should I check?
First check the Minecraft version, loader version and required dependencies. Put the .jar file in your local .minecraft/mods folder and remove older duplicates. Because this mod is client-side, adding server RAM will not fix it.
