About this Mod

Fishing upgrades is a mod that seeks to make minecraft fishing a bit more varied an intresting outside of the simple treasure, trash and fish system. With inspiration to mechanics of several RPGs i have added a fish appraisal and extra enchantments to fishing rods.

WIP: This mod also includes upgrades for other professions!

Also check this mod out on Curseforge

Features

Fisherman & Fishing related

Enchantments

This mod adds 4 simple enchantments that can be gotten for fishing rods, these enchantments are incompatible with eachother so choosing carefully which fishing rod to use for your needs is important.

Extra fish

Whenever fishing, adds an additional 50% chance to gain an extra fish upon reeling a fish in succesfully

Ore Finder

When reeling a fish in, theres an additional 15% chance to gain a rare material.

Meat Gathering

When gathering fish, theres an additional 25% chance to gain meat

Trashy

Adds an additional 40% chance to gain extra trash whenever fishing (If for some reason you want more)

Appraisal

Shift right clicking a fisherman villager with a fish on your hand will allow you to apprise the fish in exchange for one emerald and recieve and appraised fish, there are several rarities of fish

  • 50% chance to be common

  • 25% to be uncommon

  • 15% chance to be epic

  • 9% chance to be rare

  • 1% chance to be legendary

_Cutting, and selling
_

shift right clicking a fisherman villager with an empty hand will open a GUI that will allow you to either Cut or Sell your fish for emeralds

Selling fish will return in emeralds based on the rarity of the fish, while cutting them will give rewards, each fish rarity has been assigned its own unique loot table that will be randomly awarded upon cutting.

Cleric

Shift right clicking on a cleric villager will open a new GUI that will allow you to buy potions from the villager. The base price is 20 emeralds, the more you provide the cheaper the price will be!

  • Providing an ingrident is required
  • Providing netherwart is optional but reduces the price by 5 emeralds
  • Providing a water bottle reduces the price by 10 emeralds
  • Providing a empty glass bottle reduces the price by 5 emeralds

An additional GUI also allows you to purchase most ingridents directly from the villager at cheap prices.

Farmer - Farmers may now produce additional bonemeal when standing on their farm using their composter
Shepherd
  • You may shift-right click a spherd to recieve 9 offers of 1-20 randomly colored wool for 1-20 emeralds that you may purchase. The raffles have a cooldown per roll (Calculated as opening the GUI. Upon closing the GUI the cooldown is applied)
