About this Mod

Forceload Tools

A screenshot of how a forceloaded chunk is visualized in game. Every block in the forceloaded chunks has a black dot on the center.

This mod allows for visualizing what chunks are forceloaded in your world. This mod works through the vanilla /forceload query command, so it does not require any server-side functionality to work, although if others are running forceload-related commands, you may become desynced and have to run /forceload query or /forceloadtools update to get back in sync.

Usage

Enable/disable the overlay with the /forceloadtools [enable/disable] commands.

Update the list of chunks with /forceloadtools update. The list will also be updated every time the mod sees that a /forceload command has been run.

Frequently Asked Questions

Forceload Tools server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.1.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is Forceload Tools compatible with fabric?

Forceload Tools officially supports fabric for Minecraft 26.1.2. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Forceload Tools – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Forceload Tools consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
