About this Mod

SkyClient Updater

This is a mod created for SkyClient. It updates mods in-game based on a data repository

Most of the code here was from lily's own work on Skytils

Additionally, this mod would not be possible without Open Source Software, namely code from Wynntils and ChatShortcuts

If you choose to use any of my work, you must follow the terms of the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0, or any later version.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does SkyClient Updater need to be installed on the Minecraft server?

No. Modrinth marks SkyClient Updater as unsupported on the server side. Install it only in your local Minecraft mods folder. Your server can remain unchanged unless the mod page lists an additional dependency.

Which version and loader does SkyClient Updater require?

Use a file for forge and your exact Minecraft version. Supported versions include 1.8.9. Files for different loaders are not interchangeable.

SkyClient Updater is not working – what should I check?

First check the Minecraft version, loader version and required dependencies. Put the .jar file in your local .minecraft/mods folder and remove older duplicates. Because this mod is client-side, adding server RAM will not fix it.
