Serene Seasons Plus

This mod extends Serene Seasons with additional snow and season behavior.
It is built to work with Project Atmosphere and shares data with it when present.

Important

The message saying that a performance mod is required comes from this mod.
It will be patched in the next update.

Forge is supported only up to 1.20.1.
From 1.20.2 and above, the mod will be NeoForge only.

What this mod does

Snow piling and melting

Snow piles up and melts per player instead of globally.

Snow piling happens during snowfall.
Snow melting removes layers progressively instead of deleting the block.

The mod tracks how many snow layers each block should have and dynamically adds or removes layers.
This system can be buggy for now and will improve over time.

At the first snowfall of early winter, the internal snow counter is reset.
The mod then randomly decides an average snow depth per area and applies it.

Project Atmosphere integration

Designed to work with Project Atmosphere.

Snow piling can be driven by cloud data.
SnowStorm integration is planned and currently in development.
Snow will pile only in areas where clouds actually produced snow.

Better Days integration

With Better days, days and night length change throught out the seasons.

Canadian seasons preset

Season timing follows average Montreal Quebec Canada climate data.

For example, if it is February in real life, the world will be in mid winter.
