About this Mod

Description

Servux is a server-side mod that provides extra support and features for some client-side mods when playing on a that server.

Servux itself is never needed on the clients or in single player. It's only needed/useful on the server side in multiplayer.

The only case where it's useful on the client, is for the player who hosts a LAN game. That way the other players who connect get the benefits just as they would on a dedicated server.

Features

In version 0.1.x it only has one feature, which is sending structure bounding box data to MiniHUD when it asks for it, so that it can render the structure bounding boxes also in multiplayer.

There are a lot more features planned later on, at which point there will also be commands to turn features on or off. Currently in 0.1.x since there is only one feature, there are no commands yet. If you want the structure bounding box support, install the mod. Otherwise don't.

Frequently Asked Questions

Servux server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is Servux compatible with fabric?

Servux officially supports fabric for Minecraft 26.2, 26.1.2, 26.1.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Servux – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Servux consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
