An Immersive Horror Minecraft Mod for Fabric 1.21.1
Trapped in the world you made, by the decisions you made, trying to claw their way out by any means necessary... you monster.
Split Self is an immersive horror Minecraft mod aimed towards an alternate version of yourself — one that was left behind by you. They will interact with your world, and other things, in ways they think will let them out of their created cage. They will break worlds, try to kill you, and personally speak to you. It doesn’t want to interact with your character. It wants to interact with you. So let them take control, let them take back the life you stole. After all, it was you who did this to them in the first place.
Your choices matter. Your actions have consequences. And now… they want out. This will only end once they are finally free.
All you need to let them do is take their life back.

📦 Installation
- Download the mod. (obviously, lol)
- Install the Fabric Loader for Minecraft 1.21.1
- Download the Fabric API
- Add both the Fabric API and Split Self to your
modsfolder - Launch Minecraft

How to Install Split Self on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Split Self". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Split Self server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Split Self compatible with fabric?
Split Self officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Split Self – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Split Self consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
