Starry Express is an addon mod for WATHE by doctor4t. To learn how to play WATHE alongside addon mods like this one, check out agmas' video:
This mod is intended to be played in the WATHE Modpack alongside other addon mods, like Stupid Express and Noelle's Roles, but it will work just fine without other addon mods installed.

Roles
Starstruck [Civilian]
- Become Starstruck once every 90 (configurable) seconds.
- While Starstruck, move faster and see players through walls with passive instinct- but your role will be revealed to everyone nearby!
- Shorten your ability cooldown by 5 (configurable) seconds every time you complete a task.
Muzzler [Killer]
- Purchase Tape for 75 coins. Then use that tape to silence other players!
- Silenced players must be clicked 5 times to have their tape removed.
- Each click takes some of their mood- if they drop to 0 because of this, they die.
- Silenced players suffocate if left outside for too long.

For Server Owners
Configuration
Starry Express aims to be as configurable as possible, and thus, contains server-sided config for server owners to change to their heart's content.
You can find this config at config/starexpress-server.json5 in your server's files.
If, for whatever reason, you wish to play with Starry Express in a singleplayer instance, your client's config options will be used instead. Your client-sided options can be found in the same place as if they were on a server.
When joining a server, your client's config options will not be overridden, but detached from the proper config instead, and thus, completely ignored.

Available Versions
How to Install Starry Express on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Starry Express". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Starry Express server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Starry Express compatible with fabric?
Starry Express officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Starry Express – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Starry Express consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
