About this Mod

About
Forgotten Man is a faithful recreation of the DELTARUNE Chapter 5 egg room with a lot of eye candy: such as a custom dialogue system and special shaders to accompany the experience.
What this mod adds
- A mysterious door — craft it, place it anywhere, and walk through to reach the egg room
- The Forgotten Man — an interactable entity you can speak with, waiting behind the tree
- DELTARUNE dialogue system — a fully interactive dialogue window
- Real see-through portals — Immersive-Portals-style previews of the dimension through an open doorway, driven by custom shaders
- Egg.

- Z / Enter — advance the dialogue
- X — reveal the current line instantly
- Esc — close

How to Install The Forgotten Man on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "The Forgotten Man". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

The Forgotten Man server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is The Forgotten Man compatible with fabric and forge and neoforge?
The Forgotten Man officially supports fabric, forge, neoforge for Minecraft 1.21.1, 1.20.1. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with The Forgotten Man – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if The Forgotten Man consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
