A Fabric mod that restricts block breaking to a 2×2 tunnel, making straight tunnel digging easier.

How to Use

toggle mod on via keybind or command
start mining in the direction you want to 2x2 mine, it should automatically calculate and then only let you mine 2x2 in that direction.

the mod uses frequency analysis to figure out which four blocks form the 2×2 cross‑section.

if you need to reset it, you can use the reset keybind/command then start mining in another direction.

only tested on 1.21.1 so far.

How to Install 2x2 Tunnel Dig on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.1).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "2x2 Tunnel Dig". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
