Additional Placements is a Vanilla-lite mod that allows you to place blocks in new orientations.
No new items are added - instead, the placement logic of the original blocks is modified.
Currently supports (includes most mod-added as well):
Slabs - allows vertical placement
Stairs - allows vertical placement, and stairs will connect vertically as well
Carpets - allows placement on walls and ceilings
Pressure Plates - allows placement on walls and ceilings

A group of vaguely spherical objects
The "testing spheres". These odd shapes contain all 108 different possible stair block states and all 6 different possible slab block states, for testing purposes.

How to Install Additional Placements on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set forge Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (26.1.2).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Additional Placements". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Additional Placements server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.1.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
