About this Mod
Implementation of the idea presented in this video by Amos Redstone on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AwkgAM9c7M8
This version does not generate the new blocks as part of the world generation.
New blocks
Moraine block
- Is a gravity block
- Is slippery (about 70% as slippery as ice)
- Can be obtained with any pickaxe
Quicksand block
- Slows down entities
- Pulls down an entity when it tries to move
- Deals suffocation damage
- Is a gravity block
- Does land on blocks without a solid top surface (Other gravity blocks turn into an item when this happens.)
- Can be collected using an empty bucket, resulting in a
'Quicksand Bucket'.
Weathering mechanics
Freeze-thaw weathering
Transform cobblestone to moraine if an adjacent water source block freezes into an ice block, and this cobblestone block is the highest block at that (x,z) location. (Ice created by the Frost Walker enchantment does not transform adjacent cobblestone.)
Transform moraine to gravel if an adjacent ice block melts into a water source block.
Wind weathering
Transform gravel to sand when it is airborne and within the explosion range of a wind charge.
Chemical weathering
Transform sand to quicksand when using a water bottle.
Transform quicksand to dirt when a full composter drips down on the quicksand.
Other changes to the vanilla composter
The composter will lose content when a pointed dripstone hangs under it.
Poison is applied to an entity that is under the composter while this happens.
