They are omnivores so they can eat everything.
You can tame and breed them with any food item.
If not tamed then it will run away from players and monsters, but you can tempt them with foods to make them come near you.
You can find them in the savanna biome.
(You can change this and other spawn settings by editing the json files in the data -> biome tags and biome modifier folders or via resource pack)

How to Install Animal Garden - Meerkat on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 4 GB RAM (6 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (26.1.2).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Animal Garden - Meerkat". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
