About this Mod

⛏️ Ansible Crafting

Craft from every chest in the room — without moving a single item.

Ever spent half your Minecraft session running back and forth between chests and your crafting table? Digging through barrel after barrel looking for that last iron ingot? Those days are over.

Ansible Crafting turns every container near your crafting table into an extension of your inventory. Just open the crafting grid and everything within range is at your fingertips — ready to craft with in a single click.

"Like having a really long arm that can reach into every chest at once."

🪄 How It Works

  1. Place your crafting table near your storage area
  2. Open it up — a sleek side panel appears showing every item in every nearby container
  3. Craft anything — the mod pulls materials straight from your chests, barrels, shulker boxes, and more
  4. That's it. No setup. No pipes. No complicated systems. Just craft.

✨ Why You'll Love It

🔍 See Everything at a Glance

A beautiful side panel shows all available items from every nearby container — with quantities. Switch between a compact icon grid or a detailed text list. Use the search bar to find exactly what you need in seconds.

🛠️ One-Click Crafting

Pair with EMI, REI, or JEI and craft recipes with a single click. The mod automatically pulls the right items from the right containers. No dragging, no searching, no hassle.

🔦 Find Your Stuff Instantly

Click any item in the panel and the containers holding it light up with colored outlines right in the world. Never lose track of where you stored things again.

📡 Smart Container Controls

Wifi-style icons float above your containers showing which ones are connected. Toggle individual containers on or off with a keybind — perfect for keeping your "do not touch" chest out of the crafting pool.

📦 Works Everywhere

Chests, double chests, barrels, shulker boxes, hoppers, dispensers, droppers, furnaces, blast furnaces, smokers, brewing stands — if it holds items, Ansible Crafting can reach into it. Even modded containers!

⚙️ Fully Configurable

Tweak the scanning range (up to 64 blocks!), panel position, display style, highlight colors, and more. Access settings through Mod Menu or edit the config file directly.

🎮 Perfect For...

  • 🏠 Base builders who have sprawling storage rooms
  • ⚔️ Survival players tired of inventory management
  • 🏭 Mega-crafters who burn through materials fast
  • 🎒 Pack rats with items scattered across dozens of containers
  • 🌐 Server players who want a smoother crafting experience for everyone

🧪 Recipe Viewer Integration

Ansible Crafting plays beautifully with your favorite recipe viewer:

  • EMI — ✅ Fully supported (Fabric, NeoForge)
  • REI — ✅ Fully supported (Fabric, NeoForge)
  • JEI — ✅ Fully supported (Forge, NeoForge)

Click a recipe, and the mod auto-fills your crafting grid with items pulled directly from nearby containers. It's crafting on autopilot. ✈️

Tip: You don't need a recipe viewer, but installing one makes the experience chef's kiss 🤌

🌈 Shader Friendly

Using Iris shaders? No problem! Ansible Crafting automatically detects shader mods and adjusts its rendering so block highlights and wifi overlay icons stay visible.

Note: Shader compatibility depends on which shader pack you're using — each pack handles rendering differently. If highlights or overlay icons look wrong with your shader pack, please open an issue on GitLab with the shader pack name and we'll look into it!

📦 Quick Install

  1. Install your mod loader — Fabric, Forge, or NeoForge — for your Minecraft version
  2. Drop in the required dependencies: Cloth Config (all loaders) + Fabric API and Mod Menu (Fabric only)
  3. Add the Ansible Crafting .jar for your loader to your mods/ folder
  4. (Optional) Install a recipe viewer (EMI, REI, or JEI) for one-click crafting
  5. Launch and start crafting smarter! 🚀

Supported: MC 1.20.1 (Fabric, Forge) · MC 1.21.1 (Fabric, NeoForge) · MC 1.21.4 (Fabric, NeoForge)

🌟 Stop Running. Start Crafting.

No more chest-hopping. No more "where did I put that?" No more inventory Tetris before you can craft a single item.

Ansible Crafting brings your entire storage room to your crafting table.

Download it. Try it. Wonder how you ever played without it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Ansible Crafting server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.4). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is Ansible Crafting compatible with fabric and forge and neoforge?

Ansible Crafting officially supports fabric, forge, neoforge for Minecraft 1.21.4, 1.21.1, 1.20.1. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Ansible Crafting – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Ansible Crafting consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
