Mod that disables the drift when flying in creative
About this Mod

A simple Fabric client-side only mod that disables the drift when flying in creative. Ideal for players using controllers on Java Edition, such as with the Steam Deck, which this project was inspired for.
Please be aware that servers could possibly detect the modified player movement and take action against it.
Config
Use /anticreativedrift config set driftDiminishTicks (only available in singleplayer) to change the amount of time it takes for your player, when flying, to come to a complete stop. Alternatively, you can find the config file in your instance folder in anticreativedrift/config.json

Builds for newer versions of Minecraft will come as they are ready.

How to Install Anti Creative Drift on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Anti Creative Drift". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Anti Creative Drift server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Anti Creative Drift consumes the most tick time.
