About this Mod

Anti-Bat

Get rid of those annoying and useless bats!

This mod only disable bats from naturally spawning.
It does not remove them from the world if they are already there.
It also does not prevent them from being spawned by mob spawner,
spawning eggs and commands. So don't worry if your command blocks
and data packs works depend on bats.

p.s. There may be already a mod that does this,
but I couldn't find one that works on fabric 1.19
and above. So I made my own.
(This is really a simple mod.
I spend more time writing this README file than
the mod itself lol.)

Frequently Asked Questions

antibat server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.19.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is antibat compatible with fabric and forge?

antibat officially supports fabric, forge for Minecraft 1.19.2. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with antibat – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if antibat consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
