About this Mod
Arid World
This mods changes world generation to create a hotter and more arid world. Deserts and Badlands will be the most common biomes. You may find the occasional Savannah, Wooded Badlands or Stony Peaks if you're lucky. The sea level has been lowered so there will be almost no rivers and only the deepest oceans will still have water in.
Why?
Tattooine, Arrakis, Barsoom. I have always been fascinated by the desert planets of fiction. And so I wanted to play in a minecraft world that was hot and arid like those places. But playing on single biome desert can be disappointing. The lack of trees makes it overly difficult and there's still a lot of water around.
This mod is my answer to that. So if, like me, you like playing on desert worlds then you'll love this mod. Deserts stretch for miles but like an oasis; you will find the occasional patch of trees - it can entirely depend on the world seed as to how soon you find them!

Going further
This mod works perfectly on its own with vanilla biomes. But it should work with most, if not all, mods that introduce new biomes. Only the hot and arid biomes will appear but it will give your arid world even more depth.
I personally recommend using this mod with Terralith and Tectonic (but these are not requirements to use this mod)!
Requirements
- Fabric API is required to run this mod.
- Do not use this on an existing world. Install the mod then create a new world.
- Also note that this mod will affect the biomes in the Nether as they are affected by temperature.

Recommended RAM: 6 GB (per 5 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Arid World consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
