About this Mod
Credits
- Code for the sheep armor was based on the Axolotl Armour Mod
- The code for sheep variants was based on the Backported Wolves Mod

Features
- Sheep Armor that protects sheep from most forms of damage.
- New enchantments specifically for sheep armor.
- Sheep Variants for various biomes. Custom variants can be added with datapacks.
- Sheep have different default wool colors depending on the variant.
New Enchantments
- Trimming (1-3): When a sheep eats grass, it will drop as many wool as it would have when sheared times the enchantment level.
- Woolsplosion (1-4): When the armor breaks, it will produce an explosion, its power is dependent on the enchantment level.
- (1.2.1+) Lightness (1-2): Decreases fall speed and fall damage.
Sheep Variants
- Barn: Vanilla sheep variant (no changes).
- Regal: Spawns in biomes with lots of flowers (Meadows, Flower Forest, etc.).
- Rocky: Spawns in stony and mountain biomes (Stoney Shores, Stoney Peaks, etc.).
- Soot: Spawns in the nether and volcanic biomes (All nether biomes, some modded volcanic biomes).
- Gloomy: Spawns in gloomy biomes (Deep Dark, Pale Garden).

Available Versions
How to Install Armored Wool on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.5).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Armored Wool". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Armored Wool server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.5). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Armored Wool compatible with fabric?
Armored Wool officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.5, 1.21.4, 1.21.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Armored Wool – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Armored Wool consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
