About this Mod
AudioShutdown
If you often have Minecraft running in the background, you might have noticed that your pc cant go to sleep. That's because the audio engine requests your pc to stay awake. With this mod, the engine gets shutdown while you are not in a world and there is no audio playing!
This mod probably isn't for you if you just play minecraft casually. But for server owners, modders etc. keeping Minecraft open 24/7 isn't often that unusual. Minecraft's Audio Engine says to Windows that it should never put your pc to sleep because it's streaming audio even while you don't even hear ANYTHING.
When you are not in a World (or the game is paused) and if there is no audio playing (or the game is unfocused. Audio then stops completely regardless) the audio engine gets turned off. If audio gets played (e.g. main menu music (you might want to turn that off) or button presses) the audio engine gets turned on again.
You could pair this mod with a mod that disconnects you from worlds/servers after a certain period of inactivity to never worry about wasting that precious energy again.

Server lagging with AudioShutdown – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if AudioShutdown consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
