Mod Content
In vanilla, all buckets with axolotls look like they have the pink axolotl in them regardless of which type is actually inside.
This client-side Forge mod fixes this so that the item texture shows you what's actually inside it.
It also adds textures for the baby forms, so you know exactly what's in each bucket.
Changes on Forge
Axolotl Bucket Fix (Forge) uses Forge's Model API to create dynamic item model overrides, instead of using vanilla item model overrides.
So, theoretically Axolotl Bucket Fix (Forge) is more stable and has automatic compatibility when having multiple axolotl variant mods.
Yet models and textures are still needed, and should be placed under axolotlbucketfix:item/axolotl_bucket/<variant name>/ folder, named in adult and baby.
Like the Fabric version, builtin models and textures are included for More Axolotl Variants Mod.
