About this Mod
A customisable data pack for lore books
Babel Book Loot adds over 160 pre-written lore books from a variety of "in-universe" authors to Minecraft. Books are can be fished up with a fishing rod, or found in villages, stronghold libraries and woodland mansions in chests. If you are hero of the village, librarians throw a guaranteed copyable book.
You will also be able to find a new randomly generating structures, Lost Libraries which have book-related loot!
You can customise the library by adding your own books. For more information on how to customise the books in the pack to your liking, see the project homepage.
You can also customise where the books can be found (including dropped by zombies if killed by a player) and integrate the loot in to your own datapacks and mods.

How to Install Babel - Lore Books Loot on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 4 GB RAM (6 GB recommended).
Set datapack Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the datapack loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.11).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Babel - Lore Books Loot". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Babel - Lore Books Loot server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong datapack version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 4 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.11). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Babel - Lore Books Loot officially supports datapack, fabric, forge, neoforge, quilt for Minecraft 1.21.11, 1.21.10, 1.21.9. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
