Bamboo is kinda useless unless you're building... So we made it useful! This mod lets you do more with bamboo, like make armor, make tools, and make more blocks!
INFORMATION
BambooTools is a Minecraft: Java Edition, Fabric, 1.21.8 mod that makes the wonderfull bamboo block have more of a use. Yes we have bamboo doors, slabs, etc. But it's not enough! So we made this mod make bamboo actually have a better use.
HOW IT WORKS
Take your normal bamboo fron the jungle, put it in a crafting grid like planks to a crafting table. Take the compressed bamboo block and smelt it. When you smelt it, you can then make your items.
WHAT WE MADE
Bamboo Sword, Pickaxe, Ladder, Mace, Core, and more!
HOW TO INSTALL/DOWNLOAD
Use a client that lets you use Fabric loader. Lunar Client or Feather Client being a good option. Select the version 1.21.8. After you have your fabric loader all setup and ready, download the latest version of the mod (recommended for the best experience), put it in your mods folder, launch the game (if already launched, close and reopen), then it should be good to go!

BambooTools server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.8). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is BambooTools compatible with fabric and forge and neoforge?
BambooTools officially supports fabric, forge, neoforge for Minecraft 1.21.8, 1.20.1. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with BambooTools – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if BambooTools consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
