About this Mod
BBS FS
BBS FS (Faithful Succesor) is a fork (modified version) of an open-source, and discountinued, Minecraft mod called BBS mod, for creating animations within Minecraft. Just as BBS mod, it's made to work with Fabric 1.20.4 and 1.20.1 (it can work on Forge 1.20.1 with Sinytra Connector and Forgefied Fabric API).
The distinction between BBS FS, and other forks, is that it has a narrow focus of improving the process and experience of creating animation. BBS FS overhauls the film editor to be more powerful for animators!

What BBS FS doesn't offer is a swiss-army knife solution for content creation. The main focus is specifically enhancing the animation experience. While this could have a net positive effect for those who use it for 1st person RPs, or machinimas, it's created for animation first!

How to Install BBS FS on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "BBS FS". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

BBS FS server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is BBS FS compatible with fabric and forge and neoforge?
BBS FS officially supports fabric, forge, neoforge for Minecraft 1.21.1, 1.20.4, 1.20.1. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with BBS FS – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if BBS FS consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
