Description
In Minecraft 1.12.2, players must sleep through the entire night to set a spawn point.This is very inconvenient.
This mod backports the bed mechanics from 1.15 to 1.12.2:
attempting to sleep during daytime now updates your spawn location!
Key Features
- Right-click a bed at any time to directly set your spawn point—no waiting for nighttime!
- After successfully changing the spawn point, the message "Respawn point set" will appear in chat.
- If the bed is obstructed by blocks that cause suffocation above it, you will see an error message "This bed is obstructed" and the spawn point will not be set.

How to Install Bed Spawn Backport on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set forge Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.12.2).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Bed Spawn Backport". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
