Bedrolls
Adds bedrolls to the game. When placed on the ground sets the players spawnpoint without the need to sleep in it.
About this Mod
Bedrolls
Bedrolls is a mod that adds a single item/block - the bedroll. When placed on the ground the player's spawnpoint will be immediately set to that location without the need to sleep in it.
In fact you cannot sleep in this, right clicking a preexisting bedroll will simply set your spawnpoint to its location. The idea for this mod is to disable the crafting of beds and opt to use bedrolls instead. This mod has a very specific use case.
Inspiration
The concept for this mod came from my modpack, which disables sleeping. Doing so I had issues with allowing players to still set their spawnpoint using a bed. So thus I created a custom bedroll to provide similar functionality.
Known Limitations
As of the latest version of this mod, when breaking a bedroll the player's spawn will not be reset to the world spawn.

Bedrolls server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Bedrolls compatible with forge?
Bedrolls officially supports forge for Minecraft 1.20.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Bedrolls – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Bedrolls consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
