Mod which makes shields:

Deflect arrows, splash potions (buff and debuff) (configurable)
Only absorb 25% of melee damage (configurable)
Reflect 0% of melee damage (configurable)
(not implemented) Ignore lingering potion effect (inc. dragon breath) while shield is up (configurable)

How to Install Better Balanced Shields on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set forge Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.4).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Better Balanced Shields". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
