This mod brings back the beacon from the 1.4.2 snapshot 12w36a. This mod also adds different effects that can be applied to the beacon by placing a block next to it.

This mod brings back the beacon from the 1.4.2 snapshot 12w36a.
This mod also adds different effects that can be applied to the beacon by placing a block next to it.
Some of the following block effects include:
- Glass | Shows the effect checking area Must be placed on top of the beacon (Removed in 1.18.1)
- Command Block | Debug Offset
- Purpur Block | Fading effect
- Quartz Block | Spinning beam
- Obsidian | Rainbow color
- Redstone Block | Remove a beam
- Slime Block | Add a beam
- Observer | Add texture
- Sea Lantern | Makes the beacon beam spin
- Prismarine | Makes the beam more opaque
- Lapis Block | offsets the beam by 1 on the x and z axis
- Coal Block | offsets the beam by -1 on the x and z axis
- End Stone | Magic effect
- Waxed Copper Block | LASER Effect
End Stone Bricks | Colorable Magic Effect
White Wool | Air Effect
Orange Wool | Fire Effect
Blue Wool | Water Effect
Brown Wool | Earth Effect

How to Install Better Beacon Effects on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set forge Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.4).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Better Beacon Effects". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Better Beacon Effects server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.4). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Better Beacon Effects compatible with forge and neoforge?
Better Beacon Effects officially supports forge, neoforge for Minecraft 1.21.4, 1.21.3, 1.21.2. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Better Beacon Effects – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Better Beacon Effects consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
