About this Mod

This mod allows you to count blocks using certain commands.

The first one is in the following format :

/blockcounter countblocks <first_position_x> <first_position_y> <first_position_z> <second_position_x> <second_position_y> <second_position_z> [block to filter]

The second one is this :
/blockcounter setposition

Both commands count blocks within a certain area selected via the positions.
The difference between them is that the first one is manual and allows a block to filter.
The second one (setposition) needs to be done once at the first position and another time at the second position.
After the command is run the second time, the counting is executed.

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 4 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.11). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is Block Counter compatible with fabric and forge?

Block Counter officially supports fabric, forge for Minecraft 1.21.11, 1.21.10, 1.21.9. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Block Counter – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 6 GB (per 5 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Block Counter consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
