About this Mod
"Book Eater is a mod that allows players to consume Enchantment books and gain unique potion effects based on the enchantments contained within. With this mod, players can enhance their abilities and gain new abilities by consuming enchanted books. Whether you want to increase your speed, strength, or luck, Book Eater has something for everyone. So come and feast on the magical knowledge contained within enchanted books and become a true master of the game!"
In 1.15 and older the mod had added a Compass per vanilla structure.

How to Install Book Eater on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set forge Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (26.1.2).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Book Eater". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Book Eater server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.1.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Book Eater consumes the most tick time.
