About this Mod

A simple fabric mod that adds buttons to the book GUI to insert the normally untypeable formatting codes into the text. Also lets you type a section sign (§) using left alt.

NOTE: Due to a bug in vanilla the reset code (§r) does not reset formatting from the previous line until the next line. To avoid this you can reset the formatting after each line or use a color code instead which also resets all other formatting.

How to Install Book Formatting on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.5).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Book Formatting". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Book Formatting server crashes on startup – what to do?
