About this Mod

Cadentis is a client-side mod for extended brightness configuration, heavily inspired by digitalshadowhawk's Gammabright mod. It allows you to control your in-game brightness from negative -150 up to 150 (vanilla Minecraft offfers 0 to 1).

To start using the mod, press the K key (configurable) to toggle on the mod. You'll see the following text on the top-right corner:

Then, use the Left and Right Arrows to reduce or increase your brightness in-game:

When you don't want to use the mod, toggle it off by pressing K again.

How to Install Cadentis on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.18).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Cadentis". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Cadentis server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.18). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is Cadentis compatible with fabric?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Cadentis consumes the most tick time.
